ART AS EXHIBITION NOS 7 & 8

 ASPIRING ARTIST

These two pieces investigate the relationship of art and commercial approbation in monetary terms.

Rather than sharpening the art, the commercialisation serves to make a mug of our culture with the criminal tagging of a concept, however puerile.

The whole meaning of art is challenged by the unintentional primitivism of the drawing technique that puts one in mind of Sooty and Sweep. These icons of the puppet world are symbolic of the hand crafts that promote art as voice that should in all integrity speak out against the commodification of human imagination.
