Those spikey little efforts that kept children amused for minutes at a time. I guess they are now on the list of Most Dangerous construction kits for children. I remember some kids used to indulge in impractical joking with those designed to emulate windows. Being particularly thorny, these items were colourful enough to merge with certain furniture coverings, consequently they were placed on seats so that when some unsuspecting dupe sat down, they immediately sprung up emitting a fearful yelp of pain as the offending brick was lodged in one or other cheek: the language and blood were very colourful.
